And now the current Lawnscaping challenge gave me the perfect opportunity!
Here's what I came up with and there is a ton of heat embossing both under and on velum....
I started off with that gorgeous iridescent aquamarine cardstock. I know it's thin, but with the layers on the front and the layers I put on the inside (a black panel with a white panel on top) it's plenty stable. I started off making the card base and added a black and iridescent pearl panel. On a piece of velum I heat embossed some butterflies and a small grouping of cherry blossoms then fussy cut them all out. On a panel of velum I heat embossed more cherry blossoms across the left half. Using a Tombow marker, I added a little color to all of the flowers. I placed the fussy cut flowers and a few butterflies on the Iridescent Pearl panel, then, after inking the edges of the velum panel, I wrapped the grosgrain ribbon and adhered it. To finish it all off I added the remaining butterflies and a flat bow.
Don't forget that we are now doing a monthly challenge right here on DeNami Addict. This months theme is "garden" and you don't have to use a DeNami product if you don't have one. Just click the link on our sidebar for all the info.
Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think....good or bad....or even better - what would you have done differently??...crafty minds wanna know!
