When I heard about this little stamp set I was overjoyed with excitement because I've never seen anything like it in my local stamp stores. With America being a huge melting pot of different nationalities I'm betting you may know someone that speaks Spanish....let me introduce you to "Say it In Spanish"...
 "happy birthday"

I have a neighbor who is kinda like an uncle to my hubby & I. I'm excited to be able to give him this birthday card on the 27th in his first language...his English and my Spanish make for some really jacked up conversations, lol!!!!! He's going to be so surprised and tickled over it!!!

This little set includes a couple of cute images along with the following sentiments (all in Spanish):
  • happy birthday
  • happy anniversary
  • I love you
  • congratulations
  • new baby
  • boy
  • girl
  • just because
  • for you
  • hugs & kisses
  • happy
  • birthday
That's a lot of sentiments isn't it?? What a fun set to have in your stash!!

I'm your last stop today,  I hope you had a great  time visiting my Design Team sisters...they've really created some gorgeous projects that will surely inspire you!!

Jo's Scrap Shack FFC - Special Friend

Hello everyone and welcome to my very first posting/design as a Design Team Member at Jo's Scrap Shack!! If you aren't familiar with this fun little place let me fill you in!! Every Friday (@ 3pm eastern) there is a new challenge that is sponsored by some awesome companies. The winners are always picked randomly so EVERYONE has a chance at winning...not just the same ole names time after time like on some challenge blogs. What I'll be doing as a Design Team Member is using the particular weeks sponsors products to make a project that fits the weeks theme. I'm excited to be able to bring this little challenge to you and to be able to introduce you to some really awesome companies that you may have never heard of!!

Lets get started with this weeks theme: It's a sketch challenge!!
What a cute little sketch and sooo easy to work with :)

Here's my take on the sketch, a cute but super fast and easy layout for those cards you need in a jiffy...

I haven't made a square card in ages, this one is 4 1/4 X 4 1/4. I made the base from chocolate cardstock (all images were printed onto a piece of white cardstock) then layered on some super cute papers (digital also) from the sponsor, The Stamping Chef. All of these papers came from a little set called "I'm Me" that included solids, floral and decorative as well as the darling stripes and polka dot that I used here. I LOVE this set of papers because they match so perfectly that there's no way to go wrong mixing and matching them...plus since they're digital I can print them out how ever many times I'd like!! To finish it all up I added one of the wonderful sentiments from 3 Twenty Crafts brand new release that became available yesterday called Simple Sentiments.

Well that's it for me today, I hope you can join us for the challenge. Remember, it starts at 3pm eastern time and you have a chance to win some wonderful paper or images from The Stamping Chef!!

Did you have a chance to join me and the other Design Team Gals from 3 twenty Crafts for the new release blog hop over the past 4 days? Well, as a special surprise a few of us are showcasing a special set with a mini blog hop on Sunday at 3pm eastern time...make sure you stop in for a chance to win the set :)

PS: just a reminder that we are currently looking for Design team members over at The Shabby Tea Room (your style need not be shabby!). If you're interested, here's where you can find all the info...The Shabby tea Room DT call

You should have arrived here from Tina C's blog but if you would like to start at the beginning of the hop, simply go to Jo's Scrap Shack.

Today we are showing you the new and awesome stamp set “Personalize It”. This stamp set also coordinates with Project Life and Smash Books, but like the other set we previously showed on day 2, I took it a step further and want to show you how I used it on cards. This little set is like a check list (for OCD gals like myself it's going to come in handy...hehehe). It comes with a little "check list" note and lots of fun sentiments to use with it....
here I used the little note frame and added 2 of the sentiments to make a valentine for my hubby

after making the 1st card I was still in a Valentine mood and threw this little card together. I punched a bunch of chevrons and glued them to the front of the card adding one of the sentiments from the stamp set randomly all over then added a big fluffy bow

This set includes everything from New Years resolutions to Christmas wish lists and everything in between like birthdays, goals and even invitations along with a full set of numbers for making dates and numbering your lists! Your imagination can sure soar with this fun little set!!

I'm your last stop today,  I hope you had a great  time visiting my Design Team sisters...they've really created some gorgeous projects that will surely inspire you!!

3 Twenty Crafts - day 3 blog hop - "say it from the heart"

3 twenty Crafts blog hop - one new design featured everyday 2/17 - 2/20 at 3pm eastern

Welcome to day 3 of the 3 Twenty Crafts 2nd Release! You should have arrived here from Tina C'c blog but if you would like to start at the beginning of the hop, simply go to Jo's Scrap Shack.

Today we are showing you the new and awesome stamp set “Say it from the Heart”.. This set is AMAZING and may just be my fave off all the sets in the new release. It comes with 6 double sentiments...meaning you have a  sentiment for the front of the card then a matching sentiment to finish what you're saying for the inside of the card!! That's something I always struggle with...what to write on the inside, and this set takes care of that for me!! It also comes with some fun and versatile shapes. Here's what I created using this new stamp set:
I decided to make a fun one layer card using 2 sixes of a hexagon included in this set

For this card I wanted to go with something soft and pretty - I stamped and fussy cut one of the fancier hexagons and added the "interior" sentiment on the front of the card

I'm your last stop today,  I hope you had a great time visiting my Design Team sisters...they've
really created some gorgeous projects that will surely inspire you!!

3 Twenty Crafts - day 2 blog hop - "Strike A Pose"

3 twenty Crafts blog hop - one new design featured everyday 2/17 - 2/20 at 3pm eastern

Welcome to day 2 of the 3 Twenty Crafts 2nd Release! You should have arrived here from Tina C's blog but if you would like to start at the beginning of the hop, simply go to Jo's Scrap Shack.

Today we are showing you the new and awesome stamp set “Strike a Pose” This stamp set coordinates with Project Life and Smash Books, but I'm going to show you how fun it is for cards too!! Retro looking polaroids are all the rage and so fun to play with plus this little set comes with a variety of fun sentiments! You can make a scene or you can fill them in with something chic and fun as I've done in these two examples...
the trees are from the 3 twenty Crafts previously released Winter Wonderland set - I used the "snow" area as a shadow line so it could be spring or summer time :)

after stamping and cutting out the poloroid on patterned paper I attached it to a piece of cream cardstock and filled it in with a rub on sticker set I had in my stash then simply added all 3 to chocolate card base

3 Twenty Crafts blog hop - day 1 -"simple sentiments"

3 twenty Crafts blog hop - one new design featured everyday 2/17 - 2/20 at 3pm eastern

Welcome to the 3 Twenty Crafts 2nd Release Blog Hop! This week we have a ton of inspiration to share with you, lots of amazing projects showcasing the new stamp releases and some giveaways too! You will be so amazed with this new release and I am excited to share the first stamp set with you today! So are you ready to get started? You should have arrived here from Tina C's blog but if you would like to start at the beginning of the hop, simply go to Jo's Scrap Shack.

Today we are showing you the new and awesome stamp set “Simple Sentiments”. I wanted to show you a couple of different ways to use this very versatile set....now these sentiments have a little line before and after them (see the 3rd picture) but with just a little masking or gemstones, you can really change up the whole sentiment!!
for this one I simply added gemstones along the little lines

for this card I stamped the "line part" of the sentiment all along the tag then stamped the actual sentiment part seperately

for my last card I left the sentiment "as is"

What a fun set, right??? It includes 8 sentiments:
  • celebrate you
  • thinking of you
  • happy anniversary
  • special friend
  • happy birthday
  • just because
  • with sympathy
  • thank you

Ringing In The New Year - blog hop

Pssst...if you're looking for my The Shabby Tea Room post, it's just one down from here :)

Hello everyone and welcome to a very special Ringing In The New Year blog post! I can't believe yet another year has come and gone! I'm so very thankful for a lot of things in my life and you are one of those things. I'm honored and humbled that you take the time in your busy life to visit my little blog week after week and as always, you are free to contact me with any questions or suggestion as to what you'd like to see here on the blog weather it be a specific stamp or new segment. I really do appreciate each and every one of you and can't thank you enough for all of your love and support! I hope with all my heart that 2014 brings you health, happiness and wonderful new adventures to enjoy.

Today I'm honored to have been asked to help a very sweet friend celebrate a dream come true...she started her own line of stamps! We have a small but fun filled blog hop for you today that starts at 2:pm cst. :)  Let's get started, shall we?

I'm so very proud of my friend for all that she's accomplished. She started the ever popular Jo's scrap shack and now has branched out to start her very own stamp line, 3 Twenty Crafts! What a scary yet amazing step to take in life. I am wishing her success in her new adventure and am positive that 2014 will bring so many new and wonderful things for her!

If you're following along with the hop, you should have arrived here from Tina C's blog. If you didn't and want to start from the top of the hop, just head on back to Jo's Scrap Shack for a full list of participants :)

I paired up her beautiful Winter Wonderland set with some left over Bo-Bunny papers that I had from last weeks card I made for The Shabby Tea Room and came up with this....
Isn't it amazing how you can achieve such different looks with the same paper? This time around I chose  navy blue cardstock for my card base and I reversed the papers by using the pretty chevron pattern as a large layer and the snowflake pattern as a trim piece. I stamped the 3 Twenty Crafts sentiment from the Winter Wonderland set (don'tcha just love the pretty font??) on my focal panel and then stamped one of the little snowflakes from the set onto white cardstock, punched them out and popped them up using foam tape. I added some yummy iridescent sequins to finish it all off :)

Well, I'm last on the list and I thank you for joining us today. I hope you enjoyed this little hop and don't forget to stop in at Jo's Scrap Shack to see what all Jo has going on!!

Monocromatic winter scene

How darling was yesterday's project? I'm totally in love with that little stocking treat box and am planning on trying to make another before Christmas. I hope you can join us over at The Shabby Tea Room for some fun!

You remember the green & white card I made last week that I had said started out as monochromatic card but I ended up adding a touch of gold because I just wasn't happy with it? Well, I was still in the mood to try the whole monochromatic thing again....

This time I resisted on adding a pop of color somewhere ;)  For my focal point I wanted a grouping of trees but didn't want it to look to busy so I stamped 3 trees at varying heights then masked them and after inking the stamp again I would stamp on scratch paper first so when I stamped on my panel it would be faint...almost like shadows. Then I did the same thing with the little snowflake in that same stamp set.

I combined my much loved DeNami snowflakes stamp set (used the large flake) with some darling stamps called Winter Wonderland from a brand new company called 3 Twenty Crafts.

I'm sure you've seen me entering the super popular challenges over at Jo's Scrap Shack, right? Well, she just launched her own stamp line...how awesome is that?? Right now her store is stocked with the new line of clear stamps (more designs to be added soon), little doo-dads, sequins, score tapes, stickles and distress inks. I know she has a new stamp release set for January and I think there's one for February too...I'm totally excited to see them! :)

Well, like I mentioned, Jo, the owner / designer of the new 3 Twenty Crafts runs the JO's Scrap Shack challenge blog. Right now she has a Design Team call out and I'm applying! Fingers crossed :)  This is a card I made for the application.

Well that's it for me today, I'll see ya right back here on Friday!! :)
