To wish Denami Addicts own Tina Milbourn a very HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

That's right - our Tina is celebrating another year today.  And I have to say as far as BFF and "twinkies" go.....I have been blessed beyond measure having someone as funny, talented, caring, understanding and just down right Flamingo-licious" as she is as mine.  She has been there for me during those times when you need a friend most.  I am extremely thankful that she has jumped in and turned this blog into what it is today.  She has "taken over" so to speak and without her being able to do that this blog may not have gotten very far off the ground. 

So raise what you are drinking today in honor of Tina!  Happy Birthday Lady!  You are the BEST!

Cause I Wanna Be Like my Twinkie....

Soooo a few cards ago, miss Tina made a few cards using the purse stamps from Denami and I knew I just had to have them. You can see her cards Here and Here.

Yes, I had seen them before....yes they were on my "to get list" but after seeing her cards those cute little stamps catapulted themselves right to the front of the line.





And now for a little closer look...




Now I will admit - I was tired when making this card. So, the coloring didn't turn out as well as I would have liked (used a new marker - not sure I will be using it again - the color didn't stay true) but I don't want to only put the "perfect" cards here on the blog. I want to put the "so-so" ones on here as well because it may just be "so-so" to me but it may inspire someone to create something absolutely FANTABULOUS! (Well, that's my theory and I'm sticking to it).

And while I am being all honest up in here.....this card is actually going into my "sample/blooper" pile. "Why?" you ask? Because I glued the purse on the card UP.SIDE.DOWN (yep - I told ya I was tired when making this card and it had absolutely nothing to do with the glass of Chardonnay...nope....nothing.at.all!) The opening is at the top. Can't tell can ya?

A girl can never have too many bags....

A friend of mine hit a little rough patch and I wanted to cheer her up with a little card...

My original thought was to make a card reflecting this sketch... (Wendy did one too). However, I wanted to use my darling little purse set (I admit it, I am a purse whore and will drool at the thought of stepping foot into the Coach store). Then came the delima...the card wouldn't be big enough and there were only three, not four purses. So I improvised...made the card bigger, like the size you would buy in a chain store. But what to do about the fourth purse...I don't have that darling single purse stamp (yet)...after a little thinking...I had a plan!

Unfortunately, even with making the card bigger, I could only fit three purses. Are you still waiting to see how I made that 4th purse....scroll down!



Do you recognize it? Yup, it's a present from the gifts stamp set! I masked off the bow and added a handle from one of the purses. I just couldn't let it go to waste so I tucked it inside the card.
