Pumpkin Everything!

Hi everyone!! Well, it's that time of year where pumpkins have started taking over our lives in lattes, muffins, side dishes and jack o' lanterns! So, being the follower that I am I thought that I'd bring you some pumpkin love here too. ;)  

I started off by cutting a cream colored panel and randomly stamping little leaves from the Autumn Stamp set all over. I set that aside and cut a smaller panel and using the other leaf and little acorn from the stamp set made a border around the outside edge. I stamped the Pumpkin Patch Border stamp in the middle towards the top and colored it in with TomBow markers then stamped my sentiment under it. I layered this panel onto a piece of kraft then layered that panel using foam tape/pop dots onto the panel I had stamped with the leaves. I was going to layer all of this onto an A2 sized kraft card base but changed it up and used a piece of chocolate cardstock instead. I finished it all up with a cute little bow/button treatment.

Fall expresions

Hi everyone :)    Did you have a chance to hop along in the DeNami blog hop this past Sunday? I haven't yet, but plan to right away!!

 

Today I want to share a little something that took me WAY out of my sparkly pink ribbon tied box. I really like to challenge myself once in a while. Not sure if it's to keep myself on my toes or I just like punishing myself, lol!

I simply can not get enough of those yummy leaves. It's a die from Taylored Expressions. There's 4 leaves all together and they're the PERFECT size and I am ohh so smitten with them!!! I wanted to do something that high-lighted the leaves and those darling DeNami pumpkins (mini pumpkin & autumn stamp set) and after a few trial and errors came up with this card. I started out with a cream card base and panel (raised on foam tape) then added splotches and splats from Sweet Stamp Shop and the fine splatter (an old Stampin' Up stamp).  I thought it still needed something under the leaves and pumpkins so I added some washi. Good thing that stuff is forgiving...I originally used orange and green then decided I didn't like it so changed the orange in for some brown! I added the leaves and pumpkins to finish it all off. I really wanted to add a sentiment (twine at the top with a teeny tag in upper left corner), but after mulling it over a bit I decided that this card just didn't need one. What do you think, sentiment/no sentiment??

Autum leaves

Happy Wednesday everyone :)  I hope your week is going smoothly!

 

Fall is definitely in the air here in Missouri! The leaves have changed and the crisp cool air is wonderful. I wanted to capture all that yummy goodness in a card.....

 

I just absolutely ADORE the new solid leaf set from DeNami! Perfect sizes and shapes :)

 

I started out with a cream card base then layered on a strip of golden yellow cardstock with just a slight texture. Using another piece of cream cardstock and Hero Arts Shadow inks I randomly stamped the 3 leaves then cut my panel down to size. I ran it through a dry embossing folder that reminded me of swirling wind and attached it to the cardbase. I made a little flag (little leaf from the Autumn stamp set and sentiment, is from DeNami also) and added 3 little rhinestones to finish it off.  No coloring, no bow tying and took me a whole 10 minutes...easy peasy, right??

Elegant Autumn Greetings...

The air has taken on a crisp chill and wonderful scent, the leaves are falling and you can hear the passers-by shuffling through them....sigh, I just love this time of year :) Makes he want to snuggle up with a cup of hot tea, my hubby and fur-babies.

With fall on my mind, I couldn't help but break out one of the newest fall stamps from DeNami Design, Elegant Autumn Scene...it's so perfect!

What I just love about this stamp is that it's a little bit larger so it makes a perfect focal point AND it comes with the pretty little sentiment! However, with no trouble at all, the sentiment can be left off making this little stamp very versatile! If you look closely at my card, you'll see that I very easily inked up my leaves in a tan color and my sentiment in a rust/maroon color. I didn't use any masking at all, just simply held the stamp in my hand (rubber side up) and using the ink pad in my other hand, simply inked it up...easy peasy!

I simply layered some soft fall colored patterned papers with kraft and popped my image up on foam tape. Since I wasn't adding any elements or doo-daddy things I decided to add the little acorn from the Autumn stamp set to fill in the image just a little. I'm thinking it still needs just a tiny bit of jazz so I'm going to go back and scatter a few pieces of brown bling through the scene...whatcha think?

Wreaths Galore!!!



Hello everyone! Were you able to catch my photo tutorial using the Winter Wreath on Friday? Just to show you how versatile this little wreath can be, I made LOTS of more wreaths, lol!! I have so many ideas in my head and wanted to make a ton more but, I simply ran out of time!!  Hopefully I can revisit this little wreath soon :)

 

Let's get started...

 

First up is a little elegant summer wreath. I made the one on the left first but decided it was too "muddy" so I made the one on the right...I like it much better.

I couldn't stop at just one Fall themed card. The problem is is that I wanted to use the little acorn and I thought it would get lost on the card with the large leaves. I just had to give the darling acorn its own card, lol!

I have to admit that I'm pretty smitten with this next card. Y'all know that Halloween is my favorite holiday, so there was no way I could resist making a Halloween wreath!! I have several ideas for a Halloween wreath and wish I could have made them all for you, but don't worry, Halloween isn't that far off!! ;)

I wanted to do a winter theme that wasn't Christmas. I wish you could see this one in person, it had lots of pretty shimmer to it thanks to using Brillance inks. Unfortunately the camera can't capture just how pretty it is. The little "jingle bells" are double stamped - since the Brilliance Platinum doesn't really show up well on white cardstock, I stamped them in a light grey then stamped them over again using the Platinum so that they would have the same shimmer as the wreath itself.

Well, even though I did the tutorial on a Christmas card, I couldn't resist doing one more. This time I have it on a little panel that I poped up with foam tape.
