Creations By AR - Nov 2014 Release

Hi everyone how are you today? It's turned WAY cold here in Missouri with winds and cold coming from Canada...BRRRRR! I'm so not ready for the below freezing temps!!! Living in the Midwest is such a roller coaster when it comes to weather.

Anyway...surprise, it's only Tuesday!!!! I know I'm usually not here on Tuesdays but I want to show you a brand new template from Creations By AR that becomes available today. It's really cute and SUPER easy to make weather you cut templates by hand or use a cutting machine such as a Cameo or Cricut.

How cute is this little bottle template? I just love it! As usual with all of Adela's templates, it includes detailed step by step instructions along with LOTS of pictures as the file comes with a PDF for cutting by hand and several options for machine cutting. This template is really fun and comes full of options like 2 different sentiment face plates, the wrapper for the top of the bottle, a little band for the top of the bottle and an insert to make it a test tube holder.

As you can see from the first page of the instructions, Adela made hers into a champagne bottle. I thought I would make a wine bottle but as I was shopping for papers I came across a fun retro bottle cap patterned paper that I couldn't resist and thought why not make a soda bottle?? These would be really fun at a kids or teenagers birthday party.

I cut my bottle front and back then just simply snipped off the very top part that's supposed to be the cork. Now I have a soda bottle just like I used to drink from as a kid - gonna date myself, but remember turning them in at the neighborhood store for the 10¢? I'd immediately spend my hard earned money of penny candy such as swedish fish and sour cherry balls...YUMMY! ☺
I just love that you can put yummy treats in the bottle...I'm dreaming of swedish fish, lol!!
The little treat holder part is right about 3" deep and as you can see in the picture of the instruction sheet it comes with the option of making it into a test tube holder.

This little holder has so many uses...do a baby theme for a shower, champagne or wine theme for an wedding or wedding shower. Ohh my gosh...make the little test tube holder option and fill it with wine or champagne and have one at every place (seriously...2 minutes to put these together) setting so they can be used during the toast to the bride and groom...HOW FUN!!!

Well that's it for me today. I hope you like my little bottle and you can go here - Bottle Of Cheer 2 - if you'd like to check it out and purchase the template. Remember, after you purchase any of her templates you have them for a lifetime of unlimited number of uses!!

Christmas in September....

Hi everyone, did you see my post on Tuesday (one post down)? Creations by AR release 3 new templates with a fun winter / Christmas theme! It's not too early to get started on those projects...heck, this is the end of the 2nd week of September, it's almost 1/2 over already!! Where is the time going?? Well, anyway, there's still time to join in on the fun and leave comments on all of the designers posts for a chance in the random drawing for a free template!

All three templates are too adorable! If you don't want to enter in for the random drawing, they are available on Creations By AR's web site for $5.00 each OR if you buy the bundle there is a $3.00 discount. As always, the templates come in a PDF for cutting by hand along with several forms of cutting files and once downloaded can be used an unlimited amount of times.

To help get you in the mood, I thought I'd share another little Christmas project from Creations By AR that I made last season...

How cute is this little stocking?? It was super easy to put together AND I didn't have my Cricut figured out yet so I cut it out by hand using the PDF file that all of the templates come with. I had it made in no time at all! I made the little tag separately using candy and a sentiment from DeNami and the little gingerbread people are from Paper Sweeties.

Don't forget to hop along and leave comments using the links in the post below! You have until noon tomorrow :)

If you'd like to purchase the templates, they can be found here -
Gingerbread Gift Bag
Starry Tree
Stack a Snowman
2014 Winter Bundle - all three templates with a $3.00 savings!!!

The Owner / designer, Adela, has drawn up 3 brand new holiday themed templates for us and ohh my are they darling!! Unfortunately, due to a slight injury to my hand (it's okay, nothing too big) I was unable to make 2 of the projects. Really ticks me off because I put a lot of effort into picking out just the right papers too!! I did get the little Ginger Bread House gift bag made and can't wait to show it to you so let's get started!

This little template comes with the basic house shape and all kinds of little add-ons like the gingerbread people, house trimmings and even some candies! I decided to keep mine kind of plain but I'd like to remake it using bright colors and make more of a candy house out of it. You could also leave off the gingerbread people and make it up in more traditional colors and add a few die cut images of fir trees and things for an elegant gift bag...lots of possibilities! I think I'm going to make a few more for cookie giving this year instead of buying those expensive tins to put my cookies in.

Like I mentioned before, there are 2 more brand new templates. I couldn't make them but I do have pictures of the ones Adela, the owner & designer of Creations By AR made. - A DARLING little stacked box snowman and a Pretty little tree to hide a treat in. Wouldn't the tree be perfect with an electric tea light in it if you didn't set it over the little base?

How cute are these templates...don't ya just love them!?!?!? I can't wait to make them.

The Shabby tea Room - challenge #232 - Summer Dreams

Hi everyone and welcome to another fun week over at The Shabby Tea Room! This week it was my turn to pick the theme. I came upon this beautiful picture and was just drawn to it. Ohh how I wish this was my home....
Doesn't it look like a place where you could curl up with a book and relax? I'd love to spend a couple of hours there ;)

This weeks rules: create a card or project inspired by the photo using a home and/or garden theme, flowers and colors from the photo!

This week our sponsor just happens to be Creations By AR. Did you know that I'm on their design team? Adela creates wonderful 3D patterns to play with. Everything from gift bags to home organization and LOTS of goodies in-between! All of the files come in a PDF for hand cutting as well as several options for machine cutting (I use the SVG one). What I like about cut files is that they're fairly cheap and once I have the file I can use it forever!
Creations by AR is all about paper crafting specializing in 3D templates, cutting files and digital images. Visit www.creationsbyar.com for inspiration!

I am pleased to offer The Shabby Tea Room participants a challenge discount of 10% off entire purchase during the week of my sponsorship.  The discount code is challenge10.

Well, are you ready to see what I've made? I chose the darling watering can from Creations by AR. I wanted to keep it fairly simple so as not to take away from the watering can itself but couldn't resist adding a little bling, doily and tag! This file also comes with a little seed packet that you can make. What a darling gift set this would make!

Please link your creations at The Shabby Tea Room by Sunday, August 24th to play along. Winner and Tea Time Terrific Top Three will be announced Monday, August 25th. We will have an all-new challenge for you to play along with on the 25th as well, so please come back and visit with us again for another chance to win!

I have so many favorites that it was hard to choose!! I finally decided on something that I thought y'all may like because it's so versatile. The Lil' Bear template is meant to be more of a tag since it doesn't open like a traditional card.  However, I've changed it up and made it into an open-able card with just one easy peasy little step!

To make the card so that it opens, I simply cut out an extra bear shape and attached it to the back of the tag
I scored the 2nd bear I cut from plain card stock just under the ears and attached it with my ATG tape runner then stamped another inside. (all stamps used are from DeNami Design -boy bear- and Paper Sweeties -girl bear-)

Well I hope you liked my little bears as much as I do :) now off you go to visit with the other designers:
Hope you enjoyed this stop along the hop and don't forget to leave comments along the way to be eligible in the random drawing to win a template of your choice!!

The Shabby Tea Room - Challenge #215

Hi everyone and welcome to another fun filled week! How was your Easter? Mine was pretty quiet, went to visit with Family and enjoy some fellowship. I made up baskets for my son & DIL as usual...I don't think kids ever get to old for an Easter basket. ;) Ohh, on Saturday I had a little fun creating cards for my next upcoming card class at The Stamp Pad (a small local stamping store), what fun...this month is focusing on the chalkboard technique! I can't wait to teach this fun technique to everyone :)

Well, enough of me rambling on, right? You're here to see a fun project that I created using a template from Creations By AR and play with us at The Shabby Tea Room, so let's get started because I have several pictures to show you!
This weeks rules: USE ONLY PASTELS AND INCLUDE FLOWERS AND POLKA DOTS!

I made this before but ended up giving it away to someone that wanted to use it for envelopes...what a great idea! So, I needed to remake another one for myself....

Template Used: Folder Organizer

FINISHED SIZE
Folder Box: 5-5/8" x 1" x 4-3/4"
Base: 4-1/8" x 3-3/8" x 4-15/16"

Now there are LOTS of options when you make this little template. First off, let me tell you that it not only comes in a cut file but in a PDF too. So if you don't have a machine that cuts things out you can hand cut it using the pattern in the PDF file. This template is perfect for hand cutting since it's all straight lines and a couple of curving lines. You can opt out of using the little cover part that I made with the patterned paper and it comes with a little banner to hang on the front if you choose. I added polkadots to the kraft using Versamark, lots of ribbon, flowers and a little band that I scalloped to dress it up even more.

I need to make one more of these to match the Easel Top Box that I recently made. It was intended for pictures or recipes but I decided it would make great storage for my left over die cuts...

Won't a matching set look great together sitting on a little shelf in my craft area? Well that's it for me today. I hope you can join us over at The Shabby Tea Room for a chance to win 3 templates of your choice from Creations By AR!
