Cause I Wanna Be Like my Twinkie....

Soooo a few cards ago, miss Tina made a few cards using the purse stamps from Denami and I knew I just had to have them. You can see her cards Here and Here.

Yes, I had seen them before....yes they were on my "to get list" but after seeing her cards those cute little stamps catapulted themselves right to the front of the line.

And now for a little closer look...

Now I will admit - I was tired when making this card. So, the coloring didn't turn out as well as I would have liked (used a new marker - not sure I will be using it again - the color didn't stay true) but I don't want to only put the "perfect" cards here on the blog. I want to put the "so-so" ones on here as well because it may just be "so-so" to me but it may inspire someone to create something absolutely FANTABULOUS! (Well, that's my theory and I'm sticking to it).

And while I am being all honest up in here.....this card is actually going into my "sample/blooper" pile. "Why?" you ask? Because I glued the purse on the card UP.SIDE.DOWN (yep - I told ya I was tired when making this card and it had absolutely nothing to do with the glass of Chardonnay...nope....nothing.at.all!) The opening is at the top. Can't tell can ya?

Stamps used when making this card: J101 Fashion Purse, B95 Mini Swirl Flourish, C57 Mini Dot Wreath

Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think....good or bad....or even better - what would you have done differently??...crafty minds wanna know!

  1. Great minds my little twinkie friend...when you said you were tired...my mind IMMEDIATELY went to "yeah right, more like too many glasses of wine"!! ROFL. We know each other too well ;)

What the heck marker did you use...something was wrong with that...even slightly buzzed cardmaking can't cause that. Use your little tool I sent you to lift it off, edge the scallop with blue (a different marker lol) throw some pop dots under it or make it flat again and VIOLA...no more tester pile for this beauty!I think this card is ADORABLE!! Love love love how you made the pretty blue stickles dots (*sigh* I lurves me some bling)

  3. LOL!!! I am so glad to know I'm not the only person to have completed a card only to find out that I made it backwards! You are so awesome! The card is really cute, and like Tina said, you can easily fix it, too, if you want. Another quick fix, just cut the card down and frame it on another card. (I've done that MANY times when I make a boo-boo). :)
