Elegant pink and silver....

I just love pink and couldn't resist using it on a lot of my Christmas  cards...

This card was super fast to make...I stamped my pattern all over  leaving a small amount at the top blank for the sentiment, then cut strips of white (stamp flourish), magenta and iridescent pearl cardstocks, punched the edges and added some ribbon from my stash.

Christmas Mitten

I truly got inspired by the December blog hop. So many of you ladies made tags...I never really have. It's not something I tend to think about as a card element, but after seeing all the wonderful creations in that hop, I thought I'd give it a try....

Chickie Ornament

Isn't everything cuter when you add chickies???
I just loved making this little card...I heart me some chickies! You cant tell because of the bow, but I used the stitched border stamp and the curly cue from the leaf accent set to make the hanger.

Pretty ornaments

My favorite Christmas decoration would have to be ornaments. All shapes, sizes, colors, glittery, non-glittery...just so many options and each one just so dang adorable!

hanging ornaments

I have gotten several stamps that I haven't had a chance to play with yet...It's been killing me!! And since I seriously needed a break from making shower invites I thought it was the perfect time to break out a few. This ornament is just too fun isn't it? Endless possiabilities for designs...even perfect for paper piecing!
Need a closer look...they are all three cut out, but only the one in the middle is popped up on foam tape.

Christmas trees

Hmmm, not very inventive with that post title was I? It's been a long day, don't judge, mmkay? ;)

I made up a little card that I think will be very easy for someone to mass produce for Christmas....
 A little closer look....
It only took ONE stamp to make this little cutie...I know, hard to believe, right! I simply stamped this whimsical all in one stamp in staz-on ink and heat embossed with clear powder, added some minimal coloring inside the leaves, some bling and wrapped a little shiny ribbon around the panel...weeeeeeela, a pretty and EASILY mass produced card!

All I want for Christmas is...LOTS OF PRESENTS

I am dreaming that the presents are filled with DeNami goodies by the way ;)

I just love Christmas...all the glitter and sparkle makes me smile! Why can't everyday be glitter filled and shiny??
I got a new embossing powder, white with sliver sparkles, and couldn't wait to try it out. Not so impressed with it to be honest. Even though I shook it up real good it's still mostly white. The silver didn't really come through.

A little closer look??

It's an okay embossing powder and I will use it again...just didn't get the effect I was hoping for.

A little warm & fuzzy winter scene...

How can Christmas be complete without some DARLING chickies??? Well, mine can't at least ;)

I actually made this card to enter into the DeNami challenge that going on, but then mine and Wendy's little zinger, Amy, submitted a card using the same stamp. Good thing I had a back up....her's far outshone mine by a mile!!!!!

I managed to catch all the shine from the glitter and stickles, but lost the effect of the bulbs...they are filled with crystal laquer...it made for a GREAT effect :)

swirls of smiles

My bad...I don't know how to count obviously lol! When I posted the entries for the November sketch challenge on the DeNami blog I had said that I made 4 cards that I needed to whittle down...ummm, yeah, how bout 5. Geeze, what was I thinking? Woo-Hoo for Enney-Meany-Miney-Moe!

This one was a real contender for submission...I really love it. Black and pink together = pretty in my book! I actually punched the 2 layers of the tag and have them attached with the ribbon.

Can't pass up a good challenge....

DeNami is having another challenge and I managed to do it again, I made too many cards and had to choose which ones...uggg! Only difference this time is I made just a mere 3 vs. 6 like last time and our little zinger, Amy, over at Standing Ovation submitted a card that was similar to one of mine before I made my decision so the decision had been taken outta my hands (thank goodness!). That leaves me with 2...whew, crisis averted! Now I need to just take a picture of my other card and I will have this challenge all taken care of...I hate that part....seriously, I HATE taking pictures >.<  they never come out like I'd like them too. This little card is a prime example of my lacking skills.
This card is not a "bright" card...it's kinda deep and rich...does my picture show that, NO, it's all bright. No matter how or where I took the picture I just couldn't capture the deep richness of the way it is in person. Also couldn't really get my tiny bits of stickles to sparkle for the camera...sigh.
I started out with some pretty DeNami red cardstock and added a coppery colored glitter strip overlaid with some rich DeNami chocolate brown cardstock and a deep red velvety glittery ribbon. I added some bling to the accents on the ornaments and then used red and chocolate inks to distress and tone down the bright whitness of my focal panel and popped it up on foam tape. I wanted the pedestal and ornaments to take center stage, but still wanted a sentiment. After a bit of trial and errors, I decided on stamping the word "Christmas" from the Christmas Wishes sentiment in chocolate at the bottom.

Following in my Twinkies footsteps...

***Edited by Wendy*** - If you are looking for the hop post....its on post down...ok back to Tina's post.....

Well it's that time of year again...where us card makers start to stress and go practically insane trying to come up with this years Christmas card design. This year I'm putting them on the blog and letting ya'll help me decide.

Here's my first design...
I just love a dusty green and maroon color combo. I added some gamma green, citrone & cranberry glitter for lots bling!!

Blog Hop - Wrap it Up...I'll Take It!

Yes, its that time again... Time for another Denami Blog Hop

The theme you ask (because you didn't see it in the little badge (ha, sorry I am feeling sarcastic today) - Gift Wrapping!

Now if you are following along in order, you should have arrived from the craft-tastic (yes, its a word) Linda Nomura. How creative is she? I mean stamping on cellophane?!?! Yeah, I gotta try that....AND I am not even gonna talk about the goodies inside....nope, not gonna do it....(but they do look yummy don't they?).

I went for the "all occasion" type of wrapping paper for two reasons. One...because I love love love the main stamp for my project and two....I did Christmas wrapping paper as a "no card" project last month! Yes, that's me, ahead of my time! If you want to see holiday themed paper click here and take a peek.

I used my favorite "go to" stamp for this and I have to say....it turned out much better than I thought. I mean, I thought it was going to be sorta boring and then when I put it together....well see for yourself....

Now I know I always give a closer look to some of my projects but this one really needs it...so you can see the cute little lady bug in flight....she adds just a little something extra that ties it all together....or at least she does in my opinion.

Stamps used: J77 Large Daisy, D75 Small Daisy Blossom, A88 Mini Polka Dot, A76 Ladybug

Now, don't forget to leave a comment. Why? you ask.....because if you do, you could just possibly win some Denami goodies! That's right, cold hard Denami cash (read that as gift certificate) to get some Denami yumminess - and really, can't we all just use a little more?

Next up in the hop...the lovely Suzanne Bier. Can't wait to see what she has in store for us today.

Now don't forget....if you get lost, just start back at the Denami Blog and you can find your way....

Another sketch challenge reject...

Here's the other card I made and rejected for the November sketch challenge...I should have never made 4 cards. It was tough deciding which one to enter!!
I just love the colors, it's so bright and did ya notice how PERFECT the DeNami lime green cardstock matches that button? Gotta love DeNami's buttons :)  I'm also LOVIN the spellbinders shape I used here...Wendy sent it to me in a suprise Halloween package, she rocks!

And the madness continues.....

Apparently, since I am so far off track - I have shopping on the brain. Now usually, this is a good thing (unless you ask the man and then of course he has a different opinion....but I have learned that I never ask) but this time of year it tends to make me a little stressed. BUT - I know what I have to get this year (yay me - at least I "know" what to get) now I just have to go get it! So with shopping on the mind.....I came up with some bling!

A Closer peek?

Stamps used in this card? G124 Polka Dot Purse, A88 Mini Polka Dot

A little sketch challenge reject

Ya'll remember a little sketch challenge that DeNami had in November?? Well, I entered...no surprise there! I made this card for that challenge but it didn't make my cut.
I was gonna add glitter to the flowers and stamped bow, then decided that I wanted to send this in with my other OWH cards and opted for the crystal laquer instead.

Yup - the holiday shopping has begun....

And I am behind. With everything going on, I have fallen behind on my schedule. I am not an anal type of person....until the holidays roll around...and then I must plan ahead and stick to that plan...umm yeah - so far - that just ain't happening. But, I am still in the holiday spirit and with that I decided to play with one of the new stamps that I snagged on my Black Friday shopping extravaganza......

And a little bit of a closer peek...

I do *heart* me some shopping....AND some Mimi.....

Stamps used in this card: K69 Mimi Shopping Spree, J133 Decorative Flourish, F181 Classic Seasons Greetings....

I'm a thief...I just couldn't help myself...

Once in a while you see a card that just tugs at your heart and you just can't help but steal...hmmm,  reproduce, no, ummm, borrow it. This would be one of those cards! And ya know, I'm gonna blame Paulina for my thieving ways...it's all her fault. I purchased these lovelys because she posted a beautiful card on her personal blog using them and I just had to get these gorgeous stamps. As if that arm twisting of her's wasn't bad enough, she was the one that sent me the wonderful project book with this card in it when they had that awesome fall special going on that matched my stamps. Think that will hold up in court???

The stamp on my bottom panel isn't the same one Nami used (she used the rosevine corner), but it's close and worked out. It's just so pretty, feminine and elegant...I fell in utter love with it and just had to make it :)

trial invite #1

So a while back I made this little card for my sister-in-law after receiving some most AWESOME news. Well, it's time to start planning the baby shower....or do you say "babies" shower since it's twins?? Ohh well, ya'll already know I have terriable grammer ;)

I'm in the midst of making a few samples for the shower invite...so many cute stamps to choose from is making it HARD to decide! Also, since it's a boy & a girl, I had to incorporate both colors. Here's the one I decided to go with. I'll be showing ya'll the other mock-ups I made next week. Gonna be busy busy busy making 40 or so of these...wish me luck! ;)
I "antiqued" the little pull our card so it wouldn't be so bright white and will print all the shower info on it. Don't ya just love the teeny heart background??

for my Aunt

For a couple of months now one of my Aunts has been VERY sick...she's had pneumonia with a undetermined fungus growing on her lungs and has been in an induced coma so that the doctors could treat her. She's doing well today and is awake, alert and breathing on her own thanks to prayers, doctors and modern medicine. She's been moved to a rehab center and still has a long road ahead after being bed ridden for so long, but is alive and feeling better and that's all that matters. I wanted to make her a cheery card to make her smile....
I embossed the sentiment so it would pop since I had so much other stuff going on. I colored everything in then added magenta, citrone, amethyst and gamma green glitters in the respective places.
Somedays I think I need me a glitter intervention ;)  They do have a 12 step program for that don't they??? :/
