Versitile Sketches

I love to make sketches...they are never perfect...couldn't draw a straight line if my life depended on it, but I don't let a little minor thing like that get in the way ;)

Well, I decided to pull out a few sketches and try them on for size.

As you can see from this picture (I highlighted the pencil sketch so you could see it better), the sketch was a good idea, and can very versitile. I can see Mimi's Boutique buttons down the side and one of the darling  petit four sets as background paper...I think I know what my next card is gonna be!!!

Go ahead and play with it and let me know what you come up with, I'd love to check it out!

Supplies:
PF32 Owls stamp set
PF28 Heartfelt Greetings stamp set

Have a great day, Tina

Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think....good or bad....or even better - what would you have done differently??...crafty minds wanna know!

  1. Love this card, Tina! The colors are so yummy and work great with the owls! Also, that sketch is fabulous- I may have to try doing a card with it. :)

  2. Cute card. Love those owls. I like the sketch. Do you have something stamped on the brown base card?

  3. Paulina, thank you so much! I would LOVE to see something you made using my sketch...what an honor.

Linda, Thanks :) and no, I didn't use anything in the background. I toyed with maybe using a small flourish in color or Versa Mark, but decided to keep it plain as to not distract from the adorable little owls. If I were going to uses buttons or just leave the blocks plain going down the side and make my focal point where the sentiment is, I would have deffinately stamped a background.
