I LOVE using kraft! Why you ask...well, that's an easy question to answer! I love using kraft because it literally matches well with ALL color palettes. Weather you're using reds, pinks, blues, oranges, greens, purples...you can never go wrong throwing a little (or a lot) kraft in there somewhere. I actually have "use kraft with all colors" written in the Tips & Tricks note section of my little binder I use to keep track of things here on the Addict blog. It's definitely a topic I want to discuss with y'all :)

I have a lot to show you so let's get started...

For this card I inked the edges of a kraft card base then set about making a panel from more  kraft cardstock. I stamped a little pattern then distressed it with 2 different colors of ink. After letting it dry I added a distressed doily and my focal point then popped it up on the kraft panel with foam tape.

Stamps Used:
  • Single Tweety
  • Birdcage
  • Thank You Circle
  • polka Dot background
  • Classic Leaf stamp set
  • Garden Accents stamp set

This little card was SUPER easy!! I made a tall folded kraft base and using a white gel pen added faux stitch lines. I stamped out the single petal from the solid petals set in 2 colors and fussy cut them. I stamped the little polka dot circle and punched it out to use as the center of my flower. When I put my little flowers together I only placed glue at the bottom of the petals and let the tops curl up a bit. To finish it all off I simply added some twine and yummy DeNami Strawberry Freeze glitter.

Stamps Used:
  • Solid Petals stamp set
  • Polka Dot Circle
  • Thinking Of You cling

For this card I started off with a kraft base then layered on lots of goodness, lol! I had some thin cream colored paper (like what they wrap fragile stuff  in you buy at stores) and ran it through a sewing themed dry embossing folder. I highlighted the raised portions with a little tan ink and stamped the little DeNami button randomly in the same tan and some blue ink. I made a kraft die cut and stamped it with a sewing themed stamp before popping it up on the card with foam tape. I added the dress and a handful of little buttons and the little flower/bow treatment. I really debated on adding a sentiment, but in the end just left it off.

Stamps Used:
  • glamour dress
  • small solid button
Well that's it for me today, hope you liked my take on using kraft cardstock!! Ohh, and I have a HUGE [huge for me anyway] announcement tomorrow right here on the blog!! Now off you go to visit with Deb Fischer. Another amazing talent...Can't wait to see what she has for us :)

  9. You never fail at knocking my socks off during a Denami hop Tina! I love the subtle pattern stamped on the first one and now I think I'm in love with that birdcage. The faux stitching and white on kraft of the second is perfect...always a winning combo, but with the added glitter outlining the petals it rocks. And the great combination of things on the last is amazing. I love the soft inked spots on the embossed paper and the stamped buttons too. The best part is the pearl necklace and the way it is swinging though! Brilliant!
