Hi everyone! Today I have another little challenge card for you. This challenge is fun and makes you use up some of your horded or just forgotten about stash. Come on, just admit it, I promise not to judge, ;) we all have those packages of embellishments that we've only used one out of or a set of stickers we just HAD to have and never used, we just shoved it to the back of the drawer never to be seen again. Well, break them out and join in the fun over at the Sweet Stamp Shop blog!
I pulled out my drawer of scrap patterned papers, a few misc doo-dads, bling, some twine & ribbon and my beloved Washi.
I hadn't picked my stamps or my solid cardstock at that point. I just sat there staring at my crafty left-over goodies...stared some more....stared a little more....Then decided to pull out some pretty PP and just go from there. I decided to revisit a little layout I did for Mother's Day week.
I ended up using a sentiment from Paper Sweeties...the So Sweet Of You set and the rose is from Sweet Stamp Shop's new Dia De Los Muertos set. I started off with a celery green card base and added my layers of patterned papers. I stamped my white panel, added a line of bling (thank goodness they came on a glue strip so I didn't have to do them individually!) and the pretty yellow chevron ribbon (from Little Free Radical on Etsy) I thought it still needed a little "something", so I dug through my allotted goodies and came up with a little piece of crocheted lace. I was worried it wouldn't be long enough, but no worries, it was and I even had to snip off just a hair...whew!
I still can't believe that I'm guest designing over on the Paper Sweeties blog for their month long challenge and this weeks challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room! I'm on cloud nine! :) I'll see you back here on Friday with a little card that fits the current paper Sweeties challenge!
Oh this card is soooo sweet! I just adore that pretty patterned paper. It's gorgeous. The bling is that extra something that fits perfectly with this card and the lace trim with that gorgeous ribbon is perfect! Lovely job and sweet sentiment!
